Who We Are

Mission & History

LightHouse Social Service Centers, a 501 (c) 3 public-benefit corporation is dedicated to enhancing lives and meeting the diverse needs of individuals, families and communities. Through the utilization of comprehensive integrated social service systems, LightHouse supports clients in breaking the cycle of homelessness, works to keep families together and strives to build strong healthy communities.

LightHouse began its service history in 2007 providing transitional living services in partnership with the Riverside County Homeless/Housing Opportunities, Partnership & Education (HHOPE) Program. In 2011 LightHouse began providing transitional living services to homeless male veterans.  And over the past several years, LightHouse has transitioned from a small transitional living program to a comprehensive service-based program provider, assisting homeless individuals, families, veterans and unaccompanied youth in finding stable permanent housing solutions in both San Bernardino and Riverside Counties.

Founded in an effort to employ creative interventions that address the numerous issues affecting the lives of persons living in homelessness, LightHouse has expanded over the years, and now employs over 50 staff members at its three locations.  The LightHouse main office is located in Colton, Ca. and a second office is located in Victorville, Ca.   The Grant & Per Diem Transitional Living Facility is located in Moreno Valley, Ca.

In all efforts, LightHouse is strength-based.  When serving clients, the agency starts by recognizing the resilience of the individuals and families it serves.  When working with partners LightHouse identifies opportunities to create mutually beneficial results.  Also when working within systems, LightHouse supports opportunities to leverage what already works and utilizes that platform to create better futures.
